Day 1 | Motor Coach to Ft. Lauderdale / Ft. Lauderdale Christmas Pageant
Today you begin a wonderful Christmas-themed experience including two of America’s biggest holiday events. Board your motor coach at the Anchors Away Cruises & Tours Oxford office (11848 C.R. 105, Oxford, FL) and travel to Ft. Lauderdale, down the Florida Turnpike, making a lunch stop at one of the rest areas along the way. Upon arrival in Ft. Lauderdale check into the Wyndam Hotel Ft Lauderdale (or similar). Tonight enjoy included buffet dinner at the church before attending the world famous Ft. Lauderdale Christmas Pageant (America’s largest holiday show). This will be one of the highlights of your entire holiday season.

This is America’s LARGEST Christmas Pageant Event. The award winning show is back for its 35th year and you won’t want to miss this year’s show! This broadway-style Christmas show features a coast of over 300 performers. This one-of-a-kind celebration brings in entertainment and celebration of the Christmas season.

MORE THAN THIRTY YEARS AGO, the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant premiered for the very first time at a nearby civic auditorium. On our 10th Anniversary, we celebrated the opening of our current Auditorium, custom-designed for this annual presentation of the Christmas story. For our 20th Anniversary, we introduced a new grand Austrian Curtain and new settings for both acts of our program designed especially for this production by George and Goldberg. This design firm’s credits include the Winter Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the El Capitan Theatre, the Millennium Village at EPCOT, Super Bowl XXVI, and televised concerts. The stage was designed by Broadway designers Peter Wolf (“Peter Pan”) and Bill Eckart (“Cinderella”). The Silver Anniversary of the Christmas Pageant provided a time of reflection and expansion, with new flying effects, more original music and a cavalcade of new costumes.
THE FORT LAUDERDALE CHRISTMAS PAGEANT features a festive opening scene with familiar carols in a turn-of-the-century setting, a concert of inspirational contemporary songs, and a musical drama of the nativity and life of Christ.
ONE OF THE MOST CELEBRATED ASPECTS of the Pageant is the role played by young people, featuring hundreds of children and students from weeks-old babies (in the starring role!) to high school seniors who’ve been part of the Pageant all their lives. For example, a young violin prodigy who grew up in our church became a teenager virtuoso and served as concertmaster for our adult Pageant orchestra before beginning his service with the Marines. In previous years, our kids performed a specially composed "Lauderdilly Christmas" recorded at Disney studios. This original mini-musical was written for the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant by composers David and Celeste Clydesdale. (The Clydesdales also wrote the new Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom parade, “Share a Dream Come True,” as well as the music which serenades the park during the fireworks finale over Cinderella’s Castle).
Day 2 | Saw Grass Mills Outlet Center / Winterfest Christmas Boat Parade
Breakfast is included this morning. Today you have a last minute of holiday shopping at world famous Sawgrass Mills, Florida’s largest shopping destination. Tonight dinner at Bubba Gump's (or similar) is included. Next you enjoy reserved seats for the largest and most spectacular holiday boat parade in America. The parade will be watched by more than 1 million people and more than 6 million will watch on TV. This will be an incredible holiday experience.

This is America’s LARGEST Christmas boat parade and called “The Greatest Show on H20.” This parade includes $50 million dollar yachts and is a parade where ‘THE FLOATS REALLY FLOAT.’ You enjoy the parade from the vantage of RESERVED grandstand seats and will be in the heart of all the action. More than 200 yachts, boats and barges of all sizes and shapes are decorated for the parade. Unique is that there is a percentage of ‘illumination’ rule which means the number of lights and special effects aboard the boat floats will be amazing to witness.
Day 3 | Las Olas Boulevard / Travel home
Breakfast is included this morning. Today you enjoy sightseeing in Ft Lauderdale including some holiday shopping at famous Las Olas. Later you travel home with many wonderful memories of the holiday events of South Florida.

Escort or Host: Either way you are going to get local knowledge on the destination you are visiting. We provide a special Golden Anchor Trips Escort that travels with you on the included land portion of the trip when there is a minimum of 30 guests. If there are less, then we provide a local host that provides that same experience. Either way, you are going to enjoy a personal and intimate experience with local experts of the region you are visiting.
FREE Meal Package: A core philosophy of Golden Anchor Trips is to be inclusive with meals. This means providing Breakfast daily & some Dinners as noted in your itinerary while on the tour portion of your trip. This will be provided as a planned meal or in some instances as a credit to allow you choice (depending on the convenience for our guests in the destination we are visiting).
MOTOR COACH SEATING: Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee seating aboard the motor coach. The Escort will implement a seat rotation plan.
