TRIP ITINERARY: Departs November 22, 2022

Day 1 | The Villages to Savannah

 

Today you begin a wonderful Thanksgiving experience including two of the best destinations in the South.  We leave the Villages behind us as we head to Savannah.  Airriving in the afternoon to the lovely city of Savannah and check into the first class Double Tree  Inn by Hilton Savannah  Historic District (or similar) for your three night stay in Savannah.   Your guide will suggest where you may want to walk and become familiar with this wonderful city.

 

Day 2 | Charleston sightseeing

 

Breakfast is included this morning. Today you travel to one of America’s most beautiful cities… Charleston.  Your guided tour will include seeing the Battery, the Civil War site of Fort Sumter, the Market Square and so much more.  Charleston’s National Historic District is consistently considered the most unique in America. You will have ample time to enjoy Charleston before returning to your hotel.  Tonight you are free to make dinner plans for any of the wonderful local restaurants and enjoy the local festivities.  River walk is a short walk from your hotel.

 

Day 3 | Thanksgiving in Savannah  / Sightseeing

 

Breakfast is included this morning. Happy Thanksgiving!  Today your sightseeing is dedicated to Savannah. The historic district of squares and parks is something that must be seen.  Most consider it antebellum from before the Civil War. It is actually two centuries older from English pre-revolutionary times. Your guided tour will show you the best of these squares, parks, the famous River Street and so much more.  A highlight of your day will include a wonderful Thanksgiving Day dinner at 2:00 p.m.  The feast will be provide by the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel or similar.

 

Day 4 | Savannah to home

 

Breakfast is included this morning.  Today you will travel south back home to The Villages.  Leave Savannah, and Charleston with memories of a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

59 - 31 Days Prior to Departure: 75% of all monies paid as a penalty..

Escort or Host: Any way you are going to get local knowledge on the destination you are visiting.  We provide a special Golden Anchor Trips Escort (with 30 or more guest) that travels with you on the included land portion of the trip.  If there are less, then we provide a local host that provides that same experience. Either way, you are going to enjoy a personal and intimate experience with local experts of the region you are visiting. 

 

FREE Meal Package: A core philosophy of Golden Anchor Trips is to be inclusive with some meals.  This means providing most Breakfasts on the tour portion of your trip.  See your specific itinerary for details.
