I have been in the travel industry for 17 years. I started out in Medina, Ohio in1990 as a leisure agent selling Las Vegas, Jamaica, Mexico, and cruises. Later moved just outside of Atlanta, Georgia where I worked briefly for another travel agency. A year later I opened my own agency called Vacation Station where we specialized in travel to Mexico. I moved to Florida in 2001 due to a job relocation for my husband and began working for AAA in Delray Beach and Boca Raton. We started our love for cruising and travel 44 years ago when we honeymooned in Europe for 40 days and cruised back. No we weren't rich. At that time it was called Seeing Europe on $5.00 a day and we did. Our combined professional experience in the Cruise Industry is 25 years. I am new here at Anchors Away and I am happy to be joining such a winning team. I bring to ACCT over twenty-five years of experience in various segments of the related tourist industry. During that time, I traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean for the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands as part of my responsibility for the tourist program. I started with AAC in 1999 and worked for 2 years, then moved and started back up the beginning of 2002. I have been on 15 cruises and I would say most memorable was my first cruise. It was my honeymoon and we were very young, I had never even left the east coast and I was just so amazed with the ship and service and how great everything was. I remember going over the bridge in Port Canaveral and seeing the ship for the first time, I thought how incredible. There is always something about each cruise that I love.

For 12 years I have been doing what I love best, sending friends, family and clients on wonderful vacations. I attended Travel School and began my career in travel at Ship N Shore Cruises and Tours in 1995. I am happy to call Anchors Away my home since leaving Ship N Shore. I am a Princess Cruise Specialist, Celebrity Specialist and have cruised more than 22 times. Although every single cruise had happy memories especially when traveling with friends, family, or colleagues the cruise I took to Alaska stands out- so many fabulous things to do and see!! My wife, Carol and I have been traveling and cruising for many years. I have always been someone who is involved in the detail planning of all our trips and cruises. I have been so fortunate to be part of the travel industry for the past 42 years, beginning my career as a flight attendant with Continental Airlines. After flying the world for 7 years, I lived in Spain for the next 20 years, where I owned a travel company specializing in Convention and Incentive Travel. I have been in the travel industry for 25 years. I started out with Air New England and World Airlines in ticketing and reservations at Boston Logan Intl Airport. I also managed a start up travel agency in the South Shore area of Mass qualifying agency and teaching employees. I received my CTC Certified Travel Consultant designator in 1992. I believe with the current changing travel trends education is very important. My favorite cruises and trips are Alaska and the Canadian Rockies. The vast beauty of the land and the people were so friendly. My favorite client's trip was arranging a trip to China because she was adopting a son. This was very challenging because of the length of the flight and traveling with a new born baby. I believe in customer service and treat clients the way I would like to be treated.

I have been fortunate over the past 35 years to work with wonderful people in the travel industry. While working at three major International airlines, I traveled overseas to Australia, So America, Africa, Europe, Asia/India, Central America and the Caribbean. While managing two travel agencies in Indiana, I earned my CTC designation. I have lived from Fairbanks, Alaska to London, England where I worked at Pickfords Travel. I have been in the travel business for 14 years. I spent the majority of that time with Ship 'N Shore, where I learned how exciting travel can be. The last 2 1/2 years I have been at Anchors Away Cruises and am happy to say that it is a great group of people to work with. Being in the travel industry for over 14 years I have learned one thing --this industry is constantly changing, and that is what makes it so exciting, challenging and fun. I worked in Corporate Travel and Convention Management and Planning when I lived in New York City. The travel bug bit me an early age when I cruised as a child from the US to Germany. Travel dreams for me became a reality, when I started with the airlines in 1975. This allowed me to discover all corners of the world. My last few years were devoted to sales and as a destination specialist for a tour company which allowed me not only to sell, but also to escort individuals and groups to exotic destinations. I was born and raised in South Africa and started my travel career in that country. I moved to the United States when I was 35 years old and settled in Baltimore for 2 years. I then moved to Florida and became a Citizen. I have worked in the travel industry since 1980 and am still learning new things everyday. I have traveled in Europe, Africa, Israel and Egypt. I have been on many cruises in the Caribbean over the years and my most memorable trip I would have to say was 7 night on the World Renaissance - Costa ship of yore - out of San Juan - Southern Caribbean.
